bears, fairies, and cubs. oh my!

Last Friday, Ryan, June, and I pilled up in the car, and headed out of town for an all night road trip to visit my family in Phoenix.  We left and 4:30 pm, and didn't get to Clint's and Calli’s house until 5 am.  Naturally June slept through the entire ride, which was amazing until we got to Gilbert with no sleep, and a ready-to-go child.

After much debate as to how we were going to function that day, we saddled up and went to the Renaissance festival.  If you are in to people watching, this is the ultimate!  People dressed as fairies, kings, nights, wenches, trekies, basically IMG_0607 anything Fantasy/sci-fi is on display.  It is intense.  If you aren’t comfortable with being surrounded by different folks, this isn't for you.  IMG_0426 We get a great laugh, and enjoy the giant turkey legs, and oddities the festival entails.  That night we played some games and caught up on all the Probst sibling fun!

Sunday we headed over to Hohokam park to watch the Chicago Cubs.  IMG_0603baseball with a 10 month old isn't fun.   not going to lie.  It was in the middle of nap time, in the hot weather.  perfect storm for meltdown city.  We managed to get a few pictures, and inhale some hotdogs.

IMG_0580Monday was Build-a-Bear day on Grandma Marsha for the kids Easter presents.  They had a blast putting together their stuffed animals, fully clothed!

It was a great trip!  Probably one of the last ones down to PHX, with everyone moving on!  We will just have to make Disneyland our annual trip ;o)
